In 2018, we traveled across 6 continents, 27 countries and 45 cities over the span of 6 months, with just a carry-on (@shieldsnotes). We washed our clothes in hotel sinks and let them air-dry. Most days, our clothes were wrinkled and stiff, but we had limited options to de-wrinkle. Hotel irons were always clunky, old and stained. Using a hot shower to steam our clothes took forever and used way too much water. And dry cleaning was too expensive and toxic. This is when the idea for Wren was born.
